For now I figured I can share my kitchen design, and hopefully that will help you in designing your own space. Our kitchen is so close to being done and I can not wait to share the final result. As I have said before my goal for this year is to finish projects we have already started. The kitchen is high on the list of projects to finish. We only have a few things left to do:

Built In Daybed-Living Room Progress
So my new years goal/resolution for 2021 is to finish projects. We’ve got a good start on the living room, kitchen and guest room but they still aren’t done. Some of the spaces it’s bigger things like the ceiling, flooring and finishing walls. Other spaces like the living room it’s mostly trim and paint.
Small Farmhouse Bathroom Renovation Reveal
In case you think this bathroom reno happened overnight like HGTV shows lead you to believe this took us two years, no joke. At the time when we started this project we were both working full time, and somewhere in between we had our first baby. Life can get in the way, especially when you are in the baby phase but we got it done. A slow reno is not all bad though, it gives you time to really prioritize, save, and to realize how you actually use your space and how it would best function.
Birth Stories
This week both of my babies celebrate birthdays, and even though I was going to write about something else this week I can’t help but be pulled in this direction. I can not believe as of a few days ago we have a one year old and in just a few days we will have a three year old. It only feels right to celebrate by sharing the stories of how my babies were born and how I became a mama.
How We Renovated Our Small Bathroom For Cheap
I won’t pretend that this was all a well thought out project. We started demo on a whim one day. We knew we were going to renovate this bathroom eventually and had grown very tired of it’s bleak/dark existence. I think my husband or I accidentally knocked a tile off and then the rest is history. Those tiles came off so easy that we couldn’t stop ourselves. The rest of the demo wasn’t as easy, but there is something about taking a room down to it’s studs. It’s fun to see what’s behind the walls and find clues to what used to be in the space. Like we found that there used to be a window in our bathroom, and we ended up putting one back in.

I want to step back in time and welcome you all to our sweet little farmhouse on day one. This has forced me to look back through these pictures of what our house used to look like, and part of me can not believe that we actually bought this house. Please don’t judge us, and know that it gets better from here (in my humble opinion anyway).
