I wanted to share 12 cozy kitchen decor ideas to help inspire you in decorating your own home. Some of these are pretty classic, tried and true ideas. Some are a little unconventional. I hope you take what works for you and leave the rest.
1. Cozy Kitchen Decor Idea: Baskets

Baskets have really been having a moment recently, but they are a classic in my opinion. They add warmth and texture to any space. An essential really for cozy kitchen decor. If you haven’t already try a big basket on top of the refrigerator. I saw someone else do this (https://www.pineandprospecthome.com) and I love it. It helps soften up what otherwise is this big metallic box with hard lines. I like to use our basket for hiding chips so they don’t get all broken by little hands.
2. Cozy Kitchen Decor Idea: Scale

I like my old rusty scale I found antiquing but of course there’s so many other scales out there to choose from. I have a plant on mine, but it could be really cute with a bowl of produce or stack of recipe books. So many options, and it serves a purpose if you do need to weigh something.
3. Cozy Kitchen Decor Idea: Plants

Sometimes all your space needs is a little life brought in, literally with plants. If I find a space in our house that seems to be missing a little something, if I just bring a plant in it seems to make all the difference.
4. Cozy Kitchen Decor Idea: Tea Station

I’ve had this old coca-cola crate for years and I didn’t know what to use it for. I found this idea, I can’t remember who it was from but they organized their tea similar to this and I thought it was so clever. I don’t usually like having that many things out and displayed. It can be too cluttered for me but this has been really functional. Also it seems nice for guests to be able to see their options.
5. Produce Display

This is a classic for sure, but worth mentioning. There’s so many ways to display your produce. I found that I had too many bowls of produce on the counter. So I changed what used to be a hanging plant holder into a produce holder. I just switched the pots out for bowls. Of course I had to leave one plant though.
6. Cake Stands & Tea Cups

I was going through our dishes and found that I had all these cute cake stands and tea cups that I was only using on the rare special occasion. I wanted to find a use for them so I could enjoy them more often. So this past spring I tried these cake stands under the plants I had on the window sill and I loved it. I thought the tea cups with plants were a nice addition and varied the height in the vignettes nicely.
7. Fan

I love fans, I even have a couple old ones I only use for decor that I don’t trust to leave plugged in. I think they can be so fun and cute. This may seem like more of a summertime thing, that’s what I thought myself until recently.
But if you have littles who do not like hot food, and that you do not want to give super hot food to then this is a great solution. It took me too long to realize I could just dish their food up first and put it in front of this fan for a few minutes and it’s ready to go. Easy peasy.
8. Lamp

I gave this little lamp I bit of a makeover. It sits next to my blue fan, and I didn’t want it to seem like I was trying to match the two so I went green. I’m really liking it.
I know it’s been a bit trendy to have a lamp in your kitchen, but I really love how cozy it makes this corner of our kitchen. Even in the summer time I love a little cozy moment.
9. Ring Dish/Container

I don’t think I’m the only that takes my rings off when doing dishes and other kitchen tasks. If this is you also then I say embrace it. There are so many cute ring dishes or little decorative things you can use for that purpose. I had this one already, and I liked how it mimicked the frames in this area.
10. Family Recipes/Recipe Books

Recipe books are a classic staple in a kitchen, so why not display them. This makes them extra functional too because they are within hands reach when you need them.
Along the same lines why not frame a recipe card with a favorite family recipe. Even better if your loved one writes it in their own hand writing. It doesn’t get much more special and sentimental than that. I love having these recipes in here to help remind me of my roots, the people I love and some of the food we enjoy eating.

11. Crocks

I love using crocks to hold my cooking utensils. They can also be great for hiding things. I use one to help hide our not so pretty essential oil diffuser. I also have one in another room that I hide our cleaning spray bottles in. Also a plant in a crock would be so pretty.
12. Clock

Our clock is a relatively new addition. This came about because when we got a new stove the time didn’t display, but now that we have it I love it. I think it’s a classic that can be easily forgotten about. There’s so many cute clocks. I have one from my childhood kitchen but we haven’t figured out how to get it to work again. For now this one works and I use it so often.
